Furkan Korkmaz

Furkan Korkmaz didn’t really make a name for himself with the Philadelphia 76ers until this year. He has been in the league since 2017-2018, but just recently has Korkmaz averaged stats worth other teams noting and the Warriors are noting.

In Philadelphia, Korkmaz has become a starting player. His name is known in households that contain NBA fans. For the three years he has been in the NBA, Korkmaz has slowly increased his averages until this year he reached career-highs in almost all areas.

In 2019, Korkmaz averaged 9.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 0.6 steals per game. He also averaged 21.7 minutes per game after averaging only 14.1 minutes in 2018-19 and 5.7 minutes per game in 2017-18.

The biggest upgrade for Korkmaz though has been his three-point shooting. Not only is his three-point shots per game up to 4.2, but he is also shooting them at a career-high percentage of almost 40% over the last season.

Korkmaz has slowly shown that he is worth the money he is getting. He wouldn’t start on the Warriors, but he would be an excellent addition to the bench rotation behind Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson.
