5. Record shot versus New Orleans

Stephen Curry has broken a few records during his time in the NBA. One of his most impressive shots to date is when he drilled a record-tying 13 3-pointers over the New Orleans Pelicans in 2016.

The Shot:

While Curry drilled 12 other 3-pointers this game, the one we will be focusing on was the shot that tied the NBA record for 3-pointers in a single game. Late in the fourth quarter, Curry wrapped around Draymond Green for a handoff before immediately pulling into a fadeaway shot over two defenders.

Difficulty:

Curry made this shot look effortless, much like he usually does. However, it can’t be understated how tough it is to shoot the ball that quickly and without even setting his feet first. Not to mention, the two outstretched defenders hoping to deter his shot.

Backstory:

This game came early into Kevin Durant’s first season with the Dubs and directly after Curry’s 0-10 shooting game versus the Los Angeles Lakers. Clearly, Curry was ready to send a message that this was still his team.
