The Top 30 Golden State Warriors players in franchise history (Updated 2023)
28. Joe Fulks
Joe Fulks probably played before most of you were alive. He certainly competed before my day. However, that doesn’t mean he wasn’t a star for the then-Philadelphia Warriors back in the late 40s and early 50s.
He was on the roster when they merged from the BAA to the NBA.
In the BAA, Fulks led the league in scoring his rookie season — side note: Can you imagine that happening now? Moving on, Fulks averaged over 14 points his first season in the NBA then over 18 his second season. He led the league in free throw percentage as well.
Fulks was a two-time All-Star and helped captain the Warriors’ old-school roster. Given those numbers, Fulks came in at No. 28 on our list.
