The Top 30 Golden State Warriors players in franchise history (Updated 2023)
27. David Lee
A first-round pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, David Lee had a lengthy NBA career, playing 12 seasons in the NBA. Five of those seasons were spent with the Golden State Warriors, where he amassed over 5,000 points.
Lee had arguably the best season of his career with Golden State, averaging 20.1 points and 9.6 rebounds per game while shooting 50% from the field.
While he wasn’t an instrumental part of the team, Lee did play almost 50 games for the 2014-15 Warriors, a team that reached the NBA Finals and beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, the first of the two team’s four matchups.
Lee later went on to play with the Mavericks and Spurs. Lee was fantastic for Golden State, but his success never translated to team success — one reason he’s barely cracking our top 30.
