10. Aaron Gordon – Sell

There is no doubt that Aaron Gordon is a talented NBA player that, in a vacuum, would benefit the Golden State Warriors. However, his fit with the team doesn’t exactly make sense.

For starters, where would Gordon get his minutes? He plays the same position as Draymond Green and the Dubs aren’t in need of another undersized center. This would mean Gordon’s best fit would be off the bench, a role he might not excel in.

Gordon averaged 14.4 points and 7.6 rebounds for the Orlando Magic this season. He is an exciting athlete but a subpar defender. Furthermore, he shot just 30.9 percent from the 3-point line this year. Gordon falls somewhere between Green and Eric Paschall in terms of his potential impact, not something the Dubs are looking for.

What truly makes this a bad fit is Gordon’s contract. Gordon is set to make over $30 million dollars in the next two seasons – meaning the Dubs would have to give up a few assets to fit him under the cap – even with their $17 million dollar trade exception. The price to pay for Gordon just isn’t worth it.
