The Golden State Warriors should have an active offseason with two exceptions that could be used. Here is who they should avoid.

There’s no denying the Golden State Warriors must find a way to improve this offseason.

While their 15-50 record this season was no indication of the talent on their team, the Warriors still need to marginally improve in order to get back to title contention. What that actually means could be tough to decipher though.

We know they want to prioritize adding a backup point guard. They’d also like to have a bit more frontcourt three-point shooting. There are several avenues for them to get both of those before the 2020-2021 season starts, whenever that is.

This season, the Warriors only struggled so much because Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry combined for just five games with Thompson being out the entire season. The duo is the heartbeat of the organization.

Moving forward, it will still be all about them. In the long run, that could mean prioritizing young, talented prospects to fill their holes when they retire. In the short-term future, it could mean added, or making sure you stay away from, a few veterans.

That said, let’s dive into five free agents the Warriors must avoid this offseason.
