Michael Carter-Williams

After being drafted in 2014 by the Philadelphia 76ers, winning Rookie of the Year, and averaging over 16.0 points per game, Michael Carter-Williams has since become an afterthought and a backup for most NBA teams.

He was passed from Philadelphia to the Milwaukee Bucks in a three-team deal with the Phoenix Suns included that also sent Brandon Knight to Phoenix and Philadelphia received a 2015 first-round pick that the Suns had from the Los Angeles Lakers.

Since that year, MCW has yet to get back to the level he was playing in his first two seasons with the Sixers. However, the potential is also there and we all know how Steve Kerr and the Dubs value a player’s potential over everything.

After the Warriors saw long-time backup point guard Shaun Livingston retire in 2019, MCW would be more than capable of filling that role. He is even built and plays like Livingston. Kerr would already know how to utilize the oversized point guard.
