Derrick Jones Jr.

Derrick Jones, Jr. is one of the most exciting, up-and-coming players in the NBA. His career started out kind of slow, but after he participated in the NBA Dunk Contest, people started to recognize who the youngster from Miami is.

Currently, he starts on the Miami Heat, who are currently playing in the NBA Bubble. For the beginning of this season, not counting his games in the bubble, Derrick Jones has been a consistent 20 minute per game contributor.

He averaged 8.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.0 steals per game. He also shot over 50% from the field and almost 30% from behind the arc. Quality stats for the number of minutes he has been playing as a starter.

In Golden State, Jones most likely wouldn’t be a starter due to the presence of Andrew Wiggins. However, there is still room for him to average the same amount of minutes per game as he is in Miami — granted he continues to shine like he is.
