Book to San Antonio

San Antonio receives — Devin Booker

Phoenix receives — Dejounte Murray, DeMar DeRozan and 2020 first-round pick

The last theoretical trade on our list is Booker to the Spurs, a franchise missing a superstar.

The Spurs, since Kawhi Leonard left, haven’t been the same. The Tim Duncan and Tony Parker era has ended, and the struggle of rebuilding what was once a powerhouse in the West is setting in. They still have assets though.

Dejounte Murray, until his injury, was a point guard with one of the brighest futures in the league, excelling on both ends of the court.

DeRozan may also be in this equation to help the salaries and provide Phoenix with a dominant scorer similar to Booker. However, Booker’s potential as a shooter and overall scorer easily tops DeRozan’s.

The Spurs would get a future to build around while the Suns could look to make the Murray/Ayton duo their next Steve Nash and Amar’e Stoudemire. It would make sense that San Antonio may have to sweeten the pot, even more, tossing in a first-round pick.

It’s severely unlikely they happen, but it’d turn the NBA upside down if they did.
