We are nearly two weeks deep into Bubble basketball. How has the recent play in Orlando affected the Golden State Warriors at home?

The Golden State Warriors aren’t too disappointed that they aren’t competing in the Orlando bubble. While Draymond Green has expressed a bit of FOMO (fear of missing out) in watching the other 22 teams battle on a big stage, the former Defensive Player of the Year has made it clear that he and his star teammates are appreciative of the extra time off they are receiving.

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are both recovering from significant injuries and may not have been willing to travel to the bubble anyways. It is much better for the franchise if they use this extended offseason to prepare for next year.

The Dubs will have to piece it all together quickly if they want a real shot at a title. The NBA’s targetted date for the 2020-21 season is December 1. Of course, this could easily be pushed back and is rumored to potentially fall all the way to March of next year.

Regardless, basketball is back in full swing and though the Warriors aren’t playing – they certainly have been impacted by the current situations in Orlando. Each team has an indirect effect on the Dubs. Some more than others. Whether it be through the NBA Draft Lottery or as potential roadblocks to a title next year – the Dubs future will be changed by the bubble.
