“San Francisco”

The “San Francisco” jerseys are by far my favorite of this season. They are the most simplistic jersey that the Warriors have, but they also pay homage to the very first jersey that the Warriors wore when they came to the bay area.

In fact, you could say that this is a historic jersey. The design dates back to the original Warriors jerseys with a modern twist based on the current branding changes that they went through in the last offseason.

ABC puts it this way.

“A throwback to the Warriors’ original Bay Area jersey worn upon the team’s arrival to San Francisco from Philadelphia in 1962, the San Francisco Classic Edition jersey features the city’s namesake across the chest of the white jersey in a color palette of navy, gold, and red.”

Golden State has some of the best jerseys that the NBA currently sees, and they should take pride in that. They purposely connect themselves as athletes to members of a community that is close-knit. It doesn’t get any better than that.
