Anthony Edwards

If LaMelo Ball goes No. 1, Anthony Edwards will almost undoubtedly be the No. 2 pick.

The Warriors could easily go with one of these other four prospects, but Edwards seems to be the best risk available. There is no Zion Williamson in this draft. Edwards is as close as it gets to a pure scorer that has superstar upside.

Edwards is an uber-athlete shooting guard that left after one season at Georgia. In that one season, Edwards has several highlight-reel moments and games, one of which was a 30-point half against Michigan State. Overall, he averaged 19.1 points on 40% from the field.

Edwards is a risk as he could easily be a bust if his shot doesn’t improve. However, in this draft, there’s going to some issues with every prospect, and Edwards does have the highest upside among all prospects.

All five prospects would be welcome in the Bay Area, but most would agree that it’d be smart for the Warriors to trade this pick and put all their chips in the 2021 NBA Draft.
