3. Nikola Vucevic

Could Nikola Vucevic be the dominant post player the Golden State Warriors have been missing for years?

Vucevic reached the All-Star Game last year for his career-high averages of 20.8 points, 12.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game. His consistent double-doubles propelled the Orlando Magic to the NBA Playoffs and he has done the same thing this year – pushing them back into the eight-seed once again.

He is most productive with the ball in the post. Vucevic scored over 200 points in the post this season – fifth in the league. However, he is also an efficient shooter for his size – drilling 33.9 percent of his 3-point attempts.

Vucevic can face up and create his own shot with a soft touch around the rim and in the mid-range. He isn’t the greatest rim protector but he can rebound the ball at a high-rate and use his 7’0″ frame to impact opponents in the paint.

The Warriors would benefit from a player of Vueciv’s size down low. He can offer a new dynamic and generate points under the basket for them. This inside-out game with Vucevic and the Splash Brothers could be an exciting wrinkle in the Dubs’ offense.
