The upcoming 2020 NBA Draft Lottery will have a big impact on how the Golden State Warriors approach the offseason.

We are just a few days away from the 2020 NBA Draft Lottery where the Golden State Warriors will learn their fate. A bit of luck could see them earning the first overall pick while the odds are leaning towards them falling out of the top three.

The Warriors plummetted down the standings this year as injuries held all of their star players limited. Stephen Curry appeared in just five games while Klay Thompson missed the season altogether. As a result, the Dubs finished as the worst team in the league and secured the top odds to win the lottery.

Even so, the Dubs only stand with a 14 percent chance of winning the No. 1 pick. This is because the NBA recently adjusted its format to deter tanking. The odds are now flattened across all 14 lottery teams, creating a chaotic draft order.

The Warriors have almost a 40 percent chance of landing a top-3 pick but they also have a 47.9 percent chance of falling all the way to 5th in the order. Whichever direction they fall will have a big impact on their decision making in the future. Here are three potential paths they could take following the lottery.
