2. Trade for a star

Winning the lottery will require some luck. Picking a prospect that will pan out in the league is another gamble in itself.  If the Golden State Warriors receive the top selection – should they elect to trade the pick for another certified star?

There is no telling if the Warriors will find a prospect that fits with their current system. Players like LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards and James Wiseman are promising, but will they accept a smaller role on a title-contending team early in their careers. Maybe not.

Instead, the Warriors can look to the rest of the league to orchestrate a trade. Combing the top pick with a player like Eric Paschall or Andrew Wiggins and the Warriors might have some intriguing options.

The number one player the Warriors should target is Bradley Beal. The two-time All-Star had a career-high year and could help the Dubs overwhelm opponents with an offensive onslaught. Other trade targets consist of Rudy Gay and Danilo Gallinari – two players the Warriors could likely buy at a lower price.
