1. Select No. 1 overall

With flattened odds across the board, it could be years of failure before the Golden State Warriors receive another opportunity to select first overall. This is why they should take advantage of their luck if they win the lottery and use it to its full advantage.

The 2020 NBA Draft isn’t loaded but it does have a few worthy prospects. The Dubs are already enticed by the two-way athlete, Anthony Edwards. He has real potential to make an impact on both ends of the floor and should be a high-level scorer straight out of college.

Other prospects like James Wiseman and LaMelo Ball could help the Warriors as well. Wiseman is a towering seven-footer that can anchor their defense while Ball is a gifted passer who could one day lead their offensive charge.

The Warriors don’t need a young star to carry the franchise just yet – but it can’t hurt to have a generational talent stashed away for the future. If they win the lottery, the Warriors should hold onto the pick and pick a top prospect.
