Larry Nance Jr.

One name not oftentimes mentioned in a potential trade target is Cleveland Cavaliers’ center Larry Nance Jr., a player that has significantly improved his ability to shoot from deep over the last few seasons.

Nance Jr. is on a declining contract, making $11.7 million next season then $10.7 million the next season and finishing his contract making $9.7 million in the 2022-2023 season.

While the Warriors may need to make room for that contract in future years or even this season with the potential trading of Andrew Wiggins, the Warriors could a player that’s as versatile as Nance Jr.

Already traded once, Nance Jr. isn’t going to be the team’s scoring leader, but he can be a solid floor-spacing big man.

He averaged a three per game last season on 35% from deep. Along with a career-high 10.1 points per game, the Warriors have a need for versatile big men that can keep the floor spaced, and he fits that mold. It’s unlikely, but it’s certainly a possibility.
