Kelly Oubre Jr.

The Washington Wizards gave up on Kelly Oubre Jr. With the Devin Booker-led Suns, he’s turning into a star. Just 24, the 6-foot-7 small forward has a career year this past season, averaging 18.7 points and 1.9 threes per game.

The athletic lefty found his place in the Suns. He put up a career-high 71 dunks so getting to the rim become more of a hobby than an afterthought for a player that shot 47% of his shots from deep during the 2017-2018 season.

Oubre has clearly been working on his craft, and he’s been able to put the numbers it takes to solidify himself as a go-to option for Phoenix. Set to make $14.4 million next season, Oubre may not come in as a low-cost option, but he’d certainly be worth taking a look at.

The Suns, if they feel he’s part of their future, won’t part ways with him cheaply. For Golden State, they’ll look for a cheap add to enhance their roster, and Oubre at the three, sliding Wiggins to the four and Green to the five could create one unstoppable lineup.

It’s unlikely from a cost/return perspective, but it’s a dream that’d put the Dubs in contention if it came true.
