Here we have a full breakdown of where the Golden State Warriors stand in the upcoming 2020 NBA Draft Lottery.

The day is finally upon us. Within the next 24 hours, we will learn exactly where the Golden State Warriors will be selecting in the 2020 NBA Draft. Let’s break down the full odds of where they are most likely to land.

1st pick – 14.0 percent chance

This is the big one. Everyone is hoping the Dubs win the lottery and earn the top pick in the upcoming draft. Though their 14 percent chance isn’t very encouraging, it is the highest of any other team in the lottery. The Warriors, along with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers, hold the best chance of winning the first pick and having the free choice of who they will select.

Who is the favorite to go No. 1? The Warriors are reportedly high on Anthony Edwards but James Wiseman and LaMelo Ball are worthy prospects as well. Thankfully, one of these three should be available unless the Dubs fall deep into the order.

2nd pick – 13.4 percent chance

Again tied with the Cavaliers and Timberwolves, the Warriors have an almost equal chance of grabbing the second pick in the order. This isn’t a bad spot to be in, as their ideal prospect could still be available. However, the franchise will be disappointed to fall so short of the first selection.

3rd pick – 12.7 percent chance

For those keeping track, this gives the Warriors a 40.1 percent chance of landing a top-three pick. If they are set on taking either Wiseman, Edwards or Ball, it is pivotal they stay in the top three.

4th pick – 12.0 percent chance

Only two percent lower than their odds of winning the top pick – the Warriors could just as easily fall to fourth in the order. This would be a painful reality and push the franchise towards potentially trading further down or out of the draft entirely.

5th pick – 47.9 percent chance

Up until this point, the Warriors held the same exact odds as the Cavaliers and Timberwolves for each pick. This is the first moment they earn an advantage for finishing with the worst record in the league – being the only team that has a guaranteed pick in the top five.

With this being said, it should be noted that they have an overwhelmingly high chance of falling all the way to fifth in the order. It’s practically 50/50 they drop to the worst-case scenario – something the franchise will actively be rooting against.
