The trade value of the two top picks

The top-two picks are really the only two that should have high trade value. That is because the two big-name players will be taken No. 1 and No. 2. More than likely Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball will be the first two names off the board.

While the Warriors have expressed an interest in Edwards, noting him as a potential franchise player, another team could toss an enticing offer their way if they feel Edwards is that superstar. It’s not clear just how intrigued the Dubs are with the Georgia phenom.

Could the Warriors snag a top-tier 2021 first-round pick for a top-two pick? Would a team like New York move up if they whiff on the lottery?

There is quite a bit riding on the results of tonight, but the fact remains that Edwards and Ball, in their first season in the league, don’t bring the Warriors that much closer to a title.

Marcus Smart, Ricky Rubio, Myles Turner, or another player like that may. The trade value for those two should be there, but expecting them to go in the top two, a pick not in that area may dip drastically.
