Jordan Poole

Before the NBA’s suspension, Jordan Poole was red hot. He was absolutely thriving with the Warriors after a horrific start to the season. It was a complete turn around after Poole was sent to the G-League.

He crushed it for the Santa Cruz Warriors, coming back to Golden State with the confidence of a veteran.

When the league was suspended in the middle of March, Poole has recorded double figures in 12 of his last 13 games. He was playing at a high level. If the Warriors trade the No. 2 overall pick, the team wouldn’t bring in a player that would hurt his opportunity.

If the team brought in Anthony Edwards or Tyrese Haliburton, Poole’s minutes may take a slight hit. But, if Joel Embiid, Rudy Gay or a player like that is brought in, Poole will be given the minutes he needs to continue to develop his game.

That’s why Poole should be hoping for the team to trade for a small forward or power forward instead of keeping the pick and taking a high-profile wing.
