Andrew Wiggins

Andrew Wiggins may benefit from the Warriors trade the No. 2 overall pick. It feels like it’d be the opposite for the former No. 1 overall pick. Wiggins will be, as of now, the team’s starting small forward next season.

If they trade for a player to perfectly round out small-ball lineups, then they know what they’ll be getting into. But, if they do take the pick, the chances that they bring in Anthony Edwards seem high.

They view Edwards as potentially a franchise player, and that could spell trouble who may lose some minutes and potentially a chunk of his role if the high-upside Edwards comes in and performs well from the start.

Wiggins was only able to play 12 games with Golden State. They like his fit with the team, but if their hand is forced with the pick, he could see his time reduced.

With Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry on the roster, Wiggins and Marquese Chriss are the odd men out so if a star rookie is brought in they may lose time.

The Warriors like both players so it’s unlikely a trade would target replacing them.
