Rudy Gobert

The Utah Jazz, after losing the opening game, have started to absolutely dominate the Denver Nuggets. While Donovan Mitchell is the big name behind the success, Rudy Gobert has been a crucial part of both their offense and defense.

Needing a big man, the Warriors should look into what Gobert’s price tag may be. A two-time Defensive Player of the Year, Gobert is averaging 19.3 points and 9.8 rebounds on 75% from the field in the team’s first-round series.

Gobert’s value is unknown, but it certainly has sky-rocketed since Mitchell and Gobert’s relationship seems to be just fine after the big man failed to take the coronavirus seriously at the start of the pandemic.

Bleacher Report’s Andy Bailey suggests the Mavs would send Dwight Powell, Tim Hardaway Jr., a second-round pick and then a first-round pick to Utah. If that’s what it takes, then a top-two pick, Eric Paschall and another asset may do the trick, right?

Gobert is set to make $26.5 million in a contract year next season so the Warriors would have to be certain they could re-sign him. It’s also assumed they’d have to add Andrew Wiggins to any potential deal as well.
