Jordan Poole

Jordan Poole was red hot to end the 2019-2020 season. That will serve well for his role within the future of the organization, but it will also be good for the Warriors if they have any desire to include him in trade talks.

Poole, the team’s first-round pick in 2019, had a rough start to the season. His playmaking, decision-making, strength, and quickness just weren’t at an NBA level.

After a quick stint in the G-League and NBA training, Poole developed many of those areas both mentally and physically, becoming a much more efficient player. The difference in early-season Poole and last-season Poole was clear.

His last 13 games, Poole notched double figures in 12. He recorded multiple games three or more triples and four games shooting 40% or better from deep. Those were vast improvements from earlier in the season.

That said, as of now, there are no rumors that Poole is even on the hot seat, but if the right team calls, there’s no denying he’d be an expendable asset if the ultimate goal is a Bradley Beal-type star.
