Eric Paschal

A second-round pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, Eric Paschal was the team’s other rookie standout.

His slashing, athleticism, and overall feel for the game impressed early on as a rookie, playing a difficult role with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson out. Paschal, who won’t fit well aside Draymond Green, will likely split minutes with him at the four next season.

With Alen Smailagić on the roster as well, there won’t be a need for all three, although it’s more than likely they’ll keep them all.

That said, if a team is calling, it shouldn’t be Paschal who holds up a trade. He averaged 14 points per game last season, fifth among rookies. He was also a top-ten rookie in rebounds per game despite barely cracking the top ten in minutes.

While undersized, Paschal’s athleticism easily made up for it, and he has carved out a good role for himself. However, his play may get other teams intrigued as well, and he could be a player teams look at and want in any deal involving a star.
