James Wiseman

Months ago Bleacher Report’s Ric Bucher touched on Wiseman to the Warriors, saying he was atop their big board.

It makes sense given the Warriors lack of size and need for more frontcourt depth, but there hasn’t been too much news around the Warriors interest in the 7-foot-1 Wiseman.

A consensus top-five pick, Wiseman wouldn’t be a trade down option as he’ll likely be a top-three pick. If there’s a team that Wiseman fits well on and would make an instant impact for, it’s Golden State.

He recorded about 20 points and 10 rebounds to go along with three blocks per game during his mere three-game stint with the Memphis Tigers.

It would’ve been nice to see more of him throughout the season, but teams know what they’d be getting into with Wiseman. Like Edwards, Wiseman’s upside is clear. Can he develop offensively? Can he switch onto smaller guards defensively?

Both need answers, but he could certainly be an instant spark for Golden State’s frontcourt.

All three prospects make sense, but with months till the draft, trading the pick in some form still makes sense.
