Ben Simmons

The Philadelphia 76ers didn’t have Ben Simmons in their first-round matchup with the Boston Celtics, but even if Simmons was playing, it likely would’ve ended with the Celtics beating the Sixers anyway.

Simmons is the player the Sixers would more than likely build around if they made the move to send a star away. Playing his collegiate ball at LSU, Simmons to Golden State makes little to no sense.

Without a shot, Simmons would shrink the floor for the best two shooters in the NBA, making the Warriors offense less efficient.

Although his defense and playmaking would make the team better, it wouldn’t be worth such a package, one that would undoubtedly include both first-round picks and Wiggins.

Simmons doesn’t have a Giannis-like ceiling to even suggest Draymond Green or Klay Thompson is ridiculous. If Simmons rumors spread this offseason, there’s no reason to believe Golden State would be his next home.
