James Wiseman

James Wiseman has the potential to be one of the best defenders in the NBA. For a team with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, an elite rim protector could be the perfect fit.

If Wiseman could develop his offensive game, he could be one of the best big man in the NBA in just a few seasons. The left-handed shot-blocker recorded three blocks per game during his mere three-game stint with the Memphis Tigers.

Wiseman went ahead and started to prepare for the draft after issues over his eligibility at Memphis. Before that, we saw a bit of what he’s capable of, and with his length and height, Wiseman should instantly be a contender for the team’s starting center role.

He’ll need to bulk up a bit in a division with Anthony Davis, but Wiseman should be able to get there in a short time at the NBA level. NBADraft.net gave Wiseman comparisons to DeAndre Jordan and Hassan Whiteside.

If he can live up to those and develop a more consistent offensive game, Wiseman will have a strong career at the sport’s highest level.
