Rumors are running rampant. Here is the truth behind 12 of the most high-profile potential trade targets for the Golden State Warriors.

With so much going on in the NBA world, it’s hard to always tell fact from fiction. The Golden State Warriors have become an epicenter for trade rumors and it’s our job to separate the real from the fake.

Landing the No. 2 overall NBA Draft pick has come with plenty of freedom for the Warriors to build their roster next season. They have a few tradeable assets and up to $17 million dollars in salary due to the Andre Iguodala trade exception.

But, who will the franchise be targetting? It’s clear they need some additional depth at multiple positions but is there a legitimate fit out there for them? And the more pressing question is, should they risk shaking things up even more?

Trading their pick comes with a cost. With the new draft lottery system, it could be years of turmoil before the franchise lands another top-three pick. While they feel confident in their core to lead them to more title runs it is important to keep the future in mind.
