3. Myles Turner – Fact

There’s no way to avoid saying it – the Indiana Pacers collapsed in the bubble. Even with a breakout string of games from T.J. Warren, the Pacers failed to win a single game over the Miami Heat in the first round and something just didn’t look right between the team.

The chemistry wasn’t there and that could be a result of lingering free agency rumors involving Victor Oladipo. It feels increasingly likely that he will leave next summer – leaving the opportunity for a firesale to begin in Indiana.

Myles Turner could be one of the players to go in this scenario. He is a young and valuable asset – but not too valuable to part ways with. Shipping him out in exchange for draft picks and other players is a decent way to kickstart a full rebuild in Indy.

The Warriors should be interested in potentially targetting Turner. He matches their style with a sound 3-point jump shot and strong athleticism. His broad frame would be great at setting screens for the Splash Bros and he has consistently been toward the top of the league in blocks per game the last two seasons.

Most of this relies on Indiana’s urgency to start the rebuild. It could take until the trade deadline for a deal to take place but this is something to watch out for moving forward.
