Andrew Wiggins will be a pivotal member of the Golden State Warriors next season. Here are the three keys to his success.

A little over a year ago, the Golden State Warriors were riding the high of five straight trips to the NBA Finals and looking to three-peat with Kevin Durant leading the charge next to Stephen Curry. Things have changed a bit since then, and now the franchise will be depending on Andrew Wiggins to step up in a big way.

Durant is gone – with his departure came D’Angelo Russell, who is also gone. Standing in the aftermath of a 15-50 season is Wiggins, the first overall pick of the 2014 NBA Draft. His career has taken a winding road to land him in Golden State where his talents will be put to the test.

In many ways, this is a do or die season for Wiggins. He failed to live up to the hype in Minnesota and is in the early stages of one of the worst contracts in the NBA. It’s vital he is able to justify his price tag and have a productive season for the Dubs.

Likewise, the Dubs are in desperate need of Wiggins to pan out. After all, they gave up a young All-Star in Russell to acquire him. A strong season from Wiggins could be the deciding factor between another championship run or a disappointing playoff exit. Let’s discuss three things Wiggins will need to do in order to succeed.
