3. Jrue Holiday

The NBA is rapidly growing smaller and the success of Houston is speeding this process up. The Golden State Warriors can push the envelop further by trading for Jrue Holiday and creating a trio of stars in the backcourt.

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson would benefit from playing next to a defender like Holiday. He is an instant upgrade to their defense and can impact the game on or off-ball. Not to mention, he is a reliable playmaker that can act as a secondary ball-handler for Curry.

Last season in New Orleans, Holiday averaged 19.1 points and 6.7 assists per game. He is a borderline All-Star that can provide some quality play on both ends of the floor for Golden State. At 29 years of age, he should be on the trading block as New Orleans transitions into the next stage of their rebuild.

Staggering minutes between these three guards would help limit the load that the Splash Brothers need to carry. This could be pivotal to keeping the dynasty alive for the long haul. If Holiday is available, the Dubs should consider trading for him.
