2. Isaac Okoro
One of the main things the Golden State Warriors need to do this offseason is to address their defense on the wing. Once a strong suit of theirs, the Warriors have looked entirely different in the absence of Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala.
Isaac Okoro can potentially fill this void defensively. He is being projected as the best perimeter defender in the 2020 NBA Draft and he got the job done consistently for Auburn. As a freshman, Okoro earned SEC All-Defensive honors.
Slotting him on the bench would boost the Dubs’ productivity on defense. He can play the same role as Iguodala, though much more limited on offense. Okoro is a shakey shooter (28.6 percent from the 3-point line) and doesn’t have the athleticism that Iggy did.
However, there isn’t a better place for Okoro to develop a jump shot than Golden State. Furthermore, he has a natural feel for the game and could succeed at creating plays in a team-oriented offense.
