2. Charlotte Hornets

Years of mediocrity has left the Charlotte Hornets stuck in basketball purgatory. They typically haven’t been bad enough to warrant a top pick but they don’t have any players talented enough to make them true playoff contenders.

As a result, the franchise could grow impatient in their position. Selling one of their members of the young core in order to grab another blooming talent in Eric Paschall and move up in the order to target any player of their choice is a possibility.

Miles Bridges had a strong sophomore season and made many of the jumps that Charlotte expected of him. He is using his athleticism more consistently to score points in the paint and he became a slightly better shooter from deep in his second season. All of these talents would be appreciated on the Warriors’ bench.

With the No. 3 pick the Dubs would still be able to take a top-tier player and stash them away on their roster for the future. Like a few of these other deals, there isn’t much reason for the Hornets and Warriors to swap picks – but the Dubs shouldn’t rule out any options.
