7. New York Knicks
Frank Ntilikina is about as polarizing as an NBA player can get. Fans are either fascinated by his skill as a defender and hopeful for his progression on offense – or completely disgusted with his limited abilities and lack of development thus far.
One thing that needs to be accounted for is that Ntilikina is playing in New York, a franchise not known for developing quality young talent. It’s possible he just needs a change of scenery and this could interest the Golden State Warriors.
Ntilikina is already a top-tier perimeter defender. All of his problems lay on the offensive end, where he averages just 6.0 points. on 36.6 percent shooting for his career. He has no jump shot and isn’t adept at finishing around the rim. This is a major problem for a modern NBA guard.
This isn’t a deal the Warriors would be too excited to come across but it is one they can work with. Helping Ntilikina reach his full potential could turn him into a quality two-way player. Reggie Bullock is an experienced vet that adds depth and the 8th pick isn’t a bad spot to be in this draft with some quality defensive players slotted to fall deeper into the first round.
