3. Deni Avdija

There isn’t a more risky player in the 2020 NBA Draft. The scouting report for Deni Avdija is minimal and we truly don’t know how he will compete against top tier competition of his own age. Much like many prospects to come from the Euro League – Avdija is a major question mark.

Aside from Luka Doncic, the NBA has seen a number of European players fail to make the jump. Seeing the film on Avdija isn’t very encouraging as his slow speed and limited arsenal raises questions as to how he will be impactful on an NBA roster.

However, some of the best analysts in the world have Avdija being selected in the top 10 and we have to assume they see something special in him. He does have solid size at 6’9″ and has shown a natural feel for the game as a playmaker. But, will his 3-point shot translate to the league? Avdija shot just 27.7 percent last season for Maccabi Tel Aviv and has a slow release that will be easy to contest.

He is a work in progress to say the last. However, the Warriors are reportedly high on Avdija and could easily target him further in the order if they choose to swap picks with another team.
