2. Isaac Okoro
The gap left behind from Andre Iguodala will leave the Golden State Warriors vulnerable on defense. Is Isaac Okoro the answer to filling this void? Maybe so.
Okoro is perhaps the best perimeter defender in his class and shouldn’t take long to have an impact in the NBA. He has great length and athleticism, displaying a high motor on the defensive end. His tenacity made him an SEC All-Defense member as a freshman – the youngest member of the team.
This makes Okoro an obvious fit for the Warriors but he might be a liability on offense. He was a below 30 percent 3-point shooter and didn’t have much-touch anywhere outside of the paint. However, he did finish 51.4 percent of his total attempts from the field – giving us a reason for optimism.
Okoro will have to develop into a more reliable shooter to play a big role for the Warriors but this franchise has the best of any to help him grow in that regard.
