There are a number of teams that can compete with the Golden State Warriors next season – but the Dubs have a significant edge in one department.

The Golden State Warriors will have to deal with plenty of titans next season. However, they hold a clear advantage over just about every team.

The mythological ‘killer instinct’ that has been used so frequently to unfairly criticize players like LeBron James. While determining who has the ‘it’ factor is mostly arbitrary – there is no denying when it’s on full display.

Stephen Curry is a player who has undoubtedly shown they have what it takes to win in big moments. Remember his series versus Houston in 2019? With Kevin Durant injured and a pivotal Game 6 on the road, Curry weathered an 0-5 start from the field by scoring 33 points and connecting on multiple dagger shots to send James Harden home.

This was one of many instances in which the Warriors championship pedigree got the best of Harde. It’s no secret that Harden has been prone to collapsing in the playoffs and it’s definitely no coincidence that most of his blunders come against some of the greatest winners of all-time like James and Curry.

Meanwhile, the LA Clippers recently showed a disheartening performance over the Denver Nuggets. They blew three straight double-digit leads en route to fumbling a 3-1 advantage. They showed no heart in the decisive Game 7 and this failure added to the list of disappointing series for Paul George and Doc Rivers.

The Warriors won’t be the most talented team in the league but they will be one of the few with proven stars on their roster. Klay Thompson solidified himself as a big-time performer with his record-breaking Game 6 against OKC in 2016. As for Green, I think it’s obvious he is about as firey of a competitor as they come. The Dubs will be in good shape entering next season with their winning culture still intact.
