2. Deni Avdija

The intel on Deni Avdija hasn’t been to high for most casual fans. He has mostly flown under the radar as there isn’t much flare to his game but the fundamentally sound prospect generated enough noise in the Euro League to be a projected top-five pick by most analysts.

Avdija is a playmaking forward/wing with a quickly developing jump shot. He only averaged 4.0 points per game last season for Maccabi Tel Aviv but he did increase his role in the FIBA U20 tournament. He showed solid potential as a passer and scorer.

One of the biggest concerns around his game is a lack of athleticism. Avdija won’t be quicker or stronger than most NBA players and will have to rely mostly on his craftiness to score. Thankfully, we have seen numerous clips of him relentlessly working in the gym to improve.

Avdija could be the perfect prospect for the Warriors to stash on their bench and gradually give more responsibility. There is a possibility he blossoms into a versatile offensive talent – but he could just as easily fail to make the leap to the NBA.
