2. Killian Hayes

The true value in these NBA Draft prospects lies in their ceiling. While it’s good to take a safe player that will give you what you need – nothing beats the gamble of selecting someone who could become a franchise superstar.

Killian Hayes is one of the few players in his class who displays elite potential. Hayes is a gifted scorer with a wide array of moves. His step-back 3-pointer and crafty footwork made him a constant scoring threat at just 19 years of age.

There is much for Hayes to develop. His long arms make him a wobbly ball handler and he needs to be more dominant with his off-hand. Nonetheless, he has all of the tools to be a solid defender and has shown promise as a playmaker.

Giving Hayes a small role on the bench and allowing him to hit his stride comfortably would maximize his value in trade negotiations. Hayes is definitely a target if trading is the Dubs’ ultimate goal.
