The Golden State Warriors should feel confident heading into next season due to the chemistry of their All-Star big three.

Obstacles are stacking in front of the Golden State Warriors’ path to another championship. Nearly everything that could go wrong since the 2019 NBA Finals has happened as the franchise is left back at square one looking to crawl their way out of the lottery and back into title contention.

Obviously, this time around will be much easier than in years prior. The franchise still has a superstar core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Each of which should be healthy by the start of next season.

While their year off is concerning as the rest of the league has seemingly only gotten stronger, the Dubs still hold a clear advantage over everyone else. The experience of this big three is something no other team in the league can match.

Curry, Thompson and Green have competed in five NBA Finals together. That’s more finals appearances than more than half of the franchises in the league. They have also won more championships (3) than a majority of teams across the NBA.

The Warriors’ big three have basically played their entire career together. Compare this to other title-contending teams and we can see how the Dubs have an edge. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have hardly played a season together while LeBron James and Anthony Davis are in their first stint together.

Most of the teams competing today are young. The Denver Nuggets were led by 25-year-old Nikola Jokic and 23-year-old Jamal Murray. The Miami Heat are being led by 23-year-old Bam Adebayo. Lastly, the two-time league MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo, is only 25.

Now, it must be noted that outside of the Warriors’ big three, this team is young as well. Andrew Wiggins is the only other core member with playoff experience with just 5 games played in 2018. The rest of the roster has only been together for about a season, leaving much to be developed.

However, the strength of Curry, Thompson and Green’s chemistry should keep this team running smoothly. Not to mention, the great coaching skills of Steve Kerr. The Warriors should feel grateful to have such a longstanding core of stars.
