The Golden State Warriors should look to those on the open market this trade season, and Pacers’ center Myles Turner may be one of them.

Several weeks ago, the Golden State Warriors were awarded the No. 2 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. While their aims were set on No. 1, the ping pong balls just didn’t bounce in their favor, giving the Minnesota Timberwolves the top spot.

One of the more talented teams in the league, the Warriors will enter the 2020-2021 season as legitimate title contenders. Even if they don’t improve this offseason, having Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson healthy will be enough.

It’s without question that they’ll play their cards in a way in which they should improve their roster.  Whether that’s by trading their No. 2 overall pick or just improving areas of weakness with the mid-level exception is up to the team, but the avenues for improvement will be there.

One player they should target is center Myles Turner. Turner is one of the most dominant shot blockers in the NBA, and he thrived while on the court with Victor Oladipo despite having what many would consider a down year this past season.

Oladipo is looking to move on, and Turner should follow. That said, let’s dive into three trades that would both bring Turner to the Bay Area and return a handful of assets to the Pacers.
