The Draymond deal

Pacers receive Draymond Green + two 2020 second-round picks

Warriors receive Myles Turner

The Golden State Warriors have two stars — Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry. Their third star, Draymond Green, just hasn’t played up to par the last few seasons, and his numbers didn’t improve after Kevin Durant left for Brooklyn.

Like with Green, Turner’s numbers weren’t great last season.

From 13.3 to 12.1 points per game over the last two seasons, Turner looked like one of the most promising big men until Oladipo’s injury showcased his troublesome offensive game. He went from shooting 38.8% from three down to 34.4%.

Green had a similar story. However, he’s an emotion leader despite what his numbers say. It’s unlikely the team even opens up him in talks, although this deal should help their space as Turner has proven to be a much more capable shooter.

It feels like a win-win deal and something both teams should consider, especially if Green could help calm the tension with Oladipo in Indianapolis.
