Andrew Wiggins and assets trade

Warriors receive Myles Turner

Pacers receive Andrew Wiggins + Eric Paschall + 2020 second-round pick

Another deal the Warriors should look into is trading Andrew Wiggins. Given Wiggins’ max-contract salary, the Warriors should at least hear out any team that considers him valuable.

If the Pacers came with this deal, it’s some the Dubs must do. They’ll rid themselves of a solid-shooting small forward, but they’ll also potentially free up cap space for when Giannis Antetokounmpo becomes a free agent.

Turner is under contract for $18 million per year until after the 2022-2023 season. For the Warriors, Turner would give them at versatile presence down low.

Last season, he averaged 2.7 blocks per game, the most in the league. The Warriors haven’t had a center of that caliber since before the splash brothers era. While he’s not a great playmaker, Turner does, as with Green, thrive alongside other stars.

The Warriors don’t know what they’ll have in Wiggins and, if he can, without flaw, fit in with the system. While Turner would have the same concern, he would likely fill a great whole, especially with the Dubs set to draft a wing in the upcoming draft.
