The completely futuristic thought

Pacers receive Jordan Poole, Eric Paschall, 2020 first-round pick

Warriors receive Myles Turner

It may be tough for Golden State to give their No. 2 overall pick for a star like Turner.

He’s certainly not Bradley Beal, and he doesn’t have the upside to lead the franchise after Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson both age out stardom. Beal or Joel Embiid do, and they’d be worth much more.

However, if they feel a sharpshooting center like Turner does take their team to the next level, then he’d be worth it.

This deal is only worthwhile for the Warriors if Turner makes them the favorite in the West. It’d be tough to even pull this deal off, and they may have to use a bridge option with their $17.2 million trade exception.

Poole and Paschall are both loved in the Bay Area and played well in their rookie season. It’d be tough to see them go, but Dub Nation, with all their picks in the upcoming draft, should understand that it’d be for the best.

For now, no Warriors are actually on the hot seat, but once the trades start flying, it could be a free-for-all when it comes to who is safe in the Bay.
