Damion Lee

After signing a two-way deal to start last season, Damion Lee proved his value enough to be brought on to the roster on a full-time basis. He played in 46 of the Warriors 65 games during the 2019-2020 season.

Lee averaged 12.7 points per game. While his defense has been a liability, Lee’s offensive firepower kept him on the court when the team lacked scoring. However, it may not do the same next season.

The team was 8.6 points better per game with him on the court. He’s valuable as a scorer, but with Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry, they may rather have something with a defensive-minded style of play.

Lee, 27, is Stephen Curry’s brother-in-law. While it’s his abilities that’ve kept him in the Bay, it is something to note.

That said, Lee is playing at the deepest position Golden State has, so it wouldn’t be too surprising if one of the several shooting guards is cut for another small forward or center.
