Ky Bowman
Like with Damion Lee, Ky Bowman was on a two-way deal to start the 2019-2020 season.
After Stephen Curry went down in the fourth game of the season, Bowman’s usage skyrocketed and he was eventually, as with Lee, brought on the roster full time, serving as the team’s backup point guard.
Bowman started 12 games as a rookie, and the team is now looking to prioritize adding a backup point guard. It’s assumed they mean a more veteran option while they can see if the 6-foot-1 Bowman can continue to make strides.
The undrafted 23-year-old rookie averaged 7.4 points per game last season, also chipping in 2.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists, playing in 45 games.
He could be an integral part of the team, but with Jordan Poole and Damion Lee also on the roster, Bowman could find himself looking for another franchise. If so, he’s already shown enough to get picked up which is a positive for the 23-year-old.
