The Golden State Warriors will be one of several teams looking to make a run at two-time reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.

There’s no denying the next few months will be a telling time for the Golden State Warriors.

They have an elite franchise with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson still at the helm. Both will be healthy after playing five games in the entire 2019-2020 season. That should boost the Warriors up from a 15-win team to hopefully a 50-plus-win organization once again.

With players like former All-Star Draymond Green, first-team All-Rookie Eric Paschall, Jordan Poole, and others, the Warriors have a real shot at being the best team in the West. But, they could still look to improve this offseason.

They have the No. 2 overall pick in the coming draft and then the Timberwolves top-three protected 2021 first-round pick. Both have extremely high value and should be worth something in a trade, but are they worthy of the two-time reigning MVP?

That’s up for debate, but the Warriors have the assets to pull it off, and with Giannis being a free agent next offseason, they’ll be one of the only teams that will be looking to trade for him as he could be a one-year rental.

That said, let’s dive into a few ways they can get an edge over others in the race for Giannis Antetoukounmpo.
