Adding a center is a top priority for the Golden State Warriors this offseason. Here are six veterans they can target with the MLE.

The Golden State Warriors should be looking at how the Los Angeles Lakers have used multiple big men to dominate the NBA Playoffs en route to a 2-1 lead over Miami Heat. The need for a center hasn’t disappeared just yet from this ever-changing league.

Right now, the only true center on the Dubs’ roster is Kevon Looney. He played in just 20 games last season due to nagging injuries. His health will be a concern moving forward as the 23-year-old has had core muscle surgery following a hip injury.

Players such as Eric Paschall, Marquese Chriss and Draymond Green will likely have to play some minutes at center next season. Because of this, the Warriors will be vulnerable against bigger opponents. Specifically, the likes of Anthony Davis and Nikola Jokic.

Luckily, the mid-level exception offers a chance for the Warriors to fill this gap in their rotation. Preferably, they would want to target a veteran center who can be trusted to play in the scenarios he is needed. Let’s take a look at six potential candidates.
