The Golden State Warriors offseason is about to begin, and it will be one of the most important three-month periods in franchise history.

There’s no denying this will be a tough offseason for the Golden State Warriors’ front office. There will be a plethora of different avenues in which they could take.

Should they trade their No. 2 overall pick? Should they use the pick? What about their trade exception? There are just so many options this team will have, and eventually, they’ll have to start making news.

The Warriors made big-time news at the trade deadline last year. They dealt point guard D’Angelo Russell for a bundle of assets that included Andrew Wiggins and a top-three protected 2021 first-round pick.

The Warriors did not wait for the team to look at Russell plus the splash brothers but instead traded him before they were able to see his true fit. That’s why we shouldn’t expect the Warriors to bring in a top-tier guard this offseason.

But, they are looking to prioritize adding a backup point guard. With two roster spots still remaining, the Warriors will be able to fill out their roster with an MLE signing and their 2020 first-round pick.

That said, let’s dive into what a five-step game plan may look like for a perfect Golden State offseason.
